For this task, I was asked to select a theme and combine it with containers to help promote my brand. I began by mind mapping and brainstorming ideas to inspire my designs. I then researched packaging ideas and Pop Art movements to inspire my work. I drew up some concepts and was inspired to create the Rub el Hizb star.

I wanted to feature my CV in a visual format so I can send it to pretentious employers and clients. This is a unique way to send CV’s and may land me a job with companies. The container is versatile, it can be used to contain anything like jewellery, small snacks, USB etc. I wanted to create an eco-friendly container which people can keep reusing.

I created a prototype of my box out of cardboard, prints and paint. This then allowed me to see the flaws in my design and correct them. I would use better quality material if I was to send this box to a client or employer.

My prototype is available on the following video.
I am proud of my first outcome. As I went along with my design, I simplified the structure which improved the overall look. The final design featured my brand colours and the Rub el Hizb star which makes the box unique to my brand. It was simple and effective and can be reused as a useful container.
I then decided to develop my container by changing the interior, colour, logo and adding a rotating base. The white colour brightens the container giving it a fresh look. The rotating base is great for storage and can rotate back to the Rub el Hizb star. My new logo is the focal image on top of the box. I have eliminated the titles on top as this was visually distracting and resulting in dis-matching with internal topics when closed. The new container is more purposeful and is reusable.
