Fedrigoni and Dalston’s are asking designer to create a product to market Dalston’s drinks.
The following report will look into my design journey for Dalston’s.
I began my project by researching, creating mind maps, brainstorms and mood boards. I looked at USP, marketing strategies, style, typography and colours. Dalston’s USP includes producing sustainable and environmentally friendly drinks. Dalston’s market to a mindset and not a demographic. The general purpose of my research was to narrow down my creative thought and provide direction. I explored Dalton’s urban and tasteful style and began drawing concepts.
To acknowledge the Fedrigoni partnership, I decided to create a poster design. A poster can be placed in the radar of its consumers in stores, bus stops and on window displays. I then began product and competition research, followed by scanning my drawings and developing them in Photoshop and Illustrator. I developed colour, typography, layout, size and created designs inspired by Dalston’s competitions. I gathered feedback and finalised the best outcome.
My outcome features the drink, graffiti imagery with a slogan phrase. It provided the notion of bringing people together from the togetherness of the monster illustrations. My poster is bright, tasteful and interactive. It is a print product which includes Fedrigoni’s partnership and will be in the radar of its audience.
My poster includes all necessary aspects of the brief’s requirements, received positive feedback and will be the best product for marketing.
